Limited Edition/Collector’s Edition FairyLoot Box: The Queen of Nothing

IT IS HERE.

Not gonna lie, I got the notification that I was going to have to sign for it but never got the notification that it had been shipped to begin with. When I got the box I started freaking out, because this limited edition version is everything and nothing all at the same time. Nothing, because I already read the book. Everything because I have been waiting forever for it!

If you haven’t seen my review for the book. It is here. The series is here.

Without wasting more time! Let’s see this box!

Magical Folk: FairyLoot Box

It is here! I’m so excited. I got three book boxes all on the same day. As such it was like an early Christmas. I will be getting so many books for the next few months, with book boxes and Christmas, actually, so I’m not even worried about next year for content to read. Let’s get into it!

December of Dragons (December TBR)

As I mentioned at some point earlier in the year, I decided early on that I would create a book event for myself all about reading books about dragons. I decided early on what books I’d be reading this month. This list is a priority list. Anything that I do not get to I’ll end up reading next year’s December.

This isn’t particularly a challenge, as I have no real prompts for this month outside to read as many books about dragons as I possibly can. (To get dragon-ed out, I suppose. Is it even possible?) I have saved on reading so many great books about dragons this year. I’m not sure you understand how much my heart has wept.

With as many dragon books that there are in this world –trust me. I would know. I’ve checked — this event will be going on a long while. I also don’t plan to actually finish all the series I have listed here. I had hoped to read the Pern novels this time around (I have not), but there are too many other series I need to complete that are going to take the place of those books. The same applies to the Going Down in Flames series.

Next year. Next year.

Either way I have a lot of books to read.

Without further ado, my list for this December of Dragons.

November Reading List

November Reading List

I think that this is the first time since August that I finished… no not even in August did I finish my TBR. This is intense. Well, I finished it excluding Fire & Blood, but that’s like a text book and did we actually expect me to finish it? No.

The October FairyLoot Box was a book I read in October, as a note, so that didn’t end up getting read. I feel like I would have read more if I had The Blood Mirror on hand when I finished The Broken Eye. I did not. Without much more to say, let’s get into this.

When you decide not to do reviews for half the books you read in a month, the number of reviews drop like flies. December will probably have a lot of reviews or nearly none at all, I feel as if it is going to be determined by how I want to split up the reviews for the month with all the dragon books. Truly, I have no clue.

Until Next Time!

The Special Orders of Castell Novels

Sebastien De Castell, I have read many of his books in the recent months and if there is one thing I can say for sure it is that I love his books.

I could go on for days on how I like how he writes and directs his stories. I like how they spin and the directions they take, because I don’t expect it. Does that mean there is no set up for how they will go? On the contrary, there is lots of support for why they turn the way they do, I’m just used to stories that go the way I expect.

His books don’t do that.

I could speak on the characters who I have fallen for in all the books. How they make me laugh and cry, how I love them.

But that is not what strikes me the most from his works.

Year End Update

I know, I know, we have a little less than two months yet for the end of the year. I am not sure, if you are aware just how little time that is for the end of the year.

It’s not a lot of time.

I figure I will take this chance to tell you about upcoming Wednesday content for the end of the year.

Dragon books have been mostly bought. Mostly, not all, but mostly. So December is basically good to go. (Although I do have to say a lot of these books were much smaller than I thought they would be. This is great for me, because it means that I will be reading most quick for most of them. (Priory has an actual chance of being completed? WOW)

Let’s Talk: His Dark Materials

Let’s talk about HBO’s new His Dark Materials adaptation. I wasn’t planning on watching this series, if we were being honest.

Well, no. I wanted to watch it, but I was afraid.

I love His Dark Materials as a series. I didn’t hate the movie when it came out, but it wasn’t right. So seeing this, seeing actors I love in it, I was tempted. But I also don’t want to be dragged into a series where I look at the page to screen and scream “WRONG.” I just don’t. Not for this series. Not again.

And then the reviews came out. Oh, the reviews came out. And people who have never read the books are apparently confused AF, and the book readers love it? A big criticism is that there aren’t enough dรฆmons? (Which I did hear was because of budget constraints and to try to keep people focused. I understand that.) There have been some reviews that say it still it isn’t good enough, but it is better and reviewers I trust are saying its good.

I’m shocked. Stunned. Amazed. Enthralled. Excited.

Thus, I will be rereading the books as soon as I finish A Dance with Dragons and I will be starting the TV show as soon as I can. I may be writing weekly reviews for the series as a book to screen adaptation review. IDK. Would you even want that? If you do, would you want me to give spoiler side by sides, or just reviews? Let me know.

Best!

Love at First Bite: FairyLoot Box

We begin November with the box from October. I think I’m just going to have to accept that I will get my boxes the first week of the next month instead at the end of the previous month. It’s actually kind of sad, because I used to get my Tea box, FairyLoot Box, and Unicorn Crate all around the same time. Now I do not. ANYWAY.

Limited edition box for QoN should come in soon. The book drops on the 19th. I will be getting a Unicorn Crate for Nov too. I got the shipping notification for the Girls of Storm and Shadow. I also need to order the books for the December of Dragons. I’m super excited for December’s Fairyloot box that will have two books! This is going to be an epic next few months. Enough about that? No?

November TBR

Alright, so this list is a bit more manageable than last month. Sort of. Kinda. I fell into a book rut, from how much work I had to do IRL. It did not leave much room for me to read, if we are being serious. As such, I will be sending those books that I didn’t finish, to January. I will also be completing all the series on my TBR shelf for next year. So instead of buying books that are higher on my want to read list, all the books that I have book 1 or book 2 or more, to on my shelf will be the series I aim to complete. I will write more about this when we get closer.
