May Teas

This month has been really rough on me, I’m sorry for the erratic posts. I promise I’ll try to do better in June. Or at least I will attempt to. Regardless, tea came in early this month so here you go!

Cranberry Orange by Davidson’s Organic Teas

This tea is made from organic chamomile, organic orange peel, organic rosehips, organic hibiscus, and natural flavor.

I would like to rename this the Attack of the Cranberries and Oranges, because once I opened the package that was all I could smell. And it was a mouth watering good smell, my goodness. If I had a candle in this scent, I think I’d have it burning all the time, and never get sick of it (well, I might).

And then the taste. Oh my goodness. Its light, but flavorful. The cranberry and orange mix just so perfectly in this excellent harmony. Neither is super over powering. Neither is super demanding. I love this so much.

This tea is caffeine-free.

White Peach Oolong by Stash Tea

This tea is made from Wuyi oolong tea, orange peel, lemongrass, natural white peach flavor, and natural peach flavor.

This has a little more of a smoky scent than a peachy, upon a first smell. However, upon tasting you do get the other flavors. The peach also remains as an after taste. However the main taste, while drinking, is that Oolong tea. I can’t note a time I’m ever had Oolong tea before, but I do really like it in this combination. Unlike the next peach tea, this one is a far richer and more complex flavor, with the Oolong, orange, lemongrass, and white peach complimenting each other but still letting themselves be known. I really do like.

This tea has medium levels of caffeine.

Just Peachy by Davidstea

This tea is made from apple, apple pomace, sweet blackberry leaves, peach, and flavoring.

WOW this smells so much like peaches. I really like it. Goodness. Its so nice. As a peachy flavor, the smell is more powerful than the actual taste. This peach is very light and airy. The after taste however, is very peachy. Like you smell it, don’t taste it much, but then as you sit there thinking, you do taste the peach and I kind of like that. I’m interested in what this would taste like when cool. I think it would be very refreshing and I think I might try it some time and let you all know.

Note that this is a very sweet tea. While I never use sugar or honey with teas, if you are someone who does, I wouldn’t recommend that for this. This tea is just so sweet, and that fits the light airiness of the tea. I really love this.

Jasmine Green Té by The Téspa

This tea is made from organic green tea, jasmine flower, brown rice, and coriander.

Wow. This has a very nice jasmine smell. I really can’t place this tea’s taste. I think that at first I didn’t like it, but it kept drawing me in. Its a little sweet and a little bitter. Its a flavor that made me be like, hmm? And then I kept drinking and before I realized I couldn’t understand why I didn’t like it to begin with.

I really like it, and I can’t place the last time I had a Jasmine tea. I would recommend.

This tea has low levels of caffeine.

This was the attack of the fruit teas for me. And you know what? I’m here for it. Peach tea has been, consistently, the only fruit tea that I really liked. Yet, that Cranberry and Orange? Ooooh it was so good. This entire month’s box was fruit extravaganza and I love it. Is there a bias here since they are all ranked at 5/5? Maybe, but this box just smashed it out of the park for me. Each and every one of these teas got me, and I would buy them again, probably. I haven’t had this happen before, but I am so pleased with this box. So pleased.
