Alright! This is the moment you’ve been waiting for! My top 5 quotes from 2020! I was ruthless. I was horrible. I decided that with nothing else to lose, I had nothing more to give, but my honest feelings. I feel bad, but also not, because its no coincidence that the top 5 quotes spots were dominated by the same two stories. I fell for two stories so irrevocably that like, nothing can be or will be the same (along with a few others). As such! Here you are.

“Strange, isn’t it? To love a book. When the words on the pages become so precious that they feel like part of your own history because they are.”
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgerstern

“And no story truly ends as long as it is told.”
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgerstern

“What is the difference between a door and a cage? Between not yet and too late ?”
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgerstern

“These were stories between the stars.”

“If this story can really save you… There are three ways to survive in a ruined world. I’ve forgotten a few by now. However, one thing’s for certain. And that is, the you reading these words will get to survive. This story is for just that one reader.”

The third quote is directly a quote that hits me in the Wicked feels, which is why it is so much higher than the others. ORV won out, however. I had to hold myself back from making them all ORV quotes. I could have probably dropped a SS quote, but I could not do it.
The final quote (number 1). That quote!! It hits me so hard. That quote is EVERYTHING for that series. I don’t know what else to say. Just reading the lines give me chills over and over and over again. If you read the series, you’d know. If not, it probably means very little to you. But I’ll try to explain.
A reader loves a story so much that when the story begins, he tries to save the protagonist no matter what. The reader loves the protagonist more than anyone and will be the protagonist’s partner through all tribulations. And when the reader is lost the protagonist will save them in turn. Stories can save lives.
And with that! Onwards!
