February TBR

Halloween is coming early this year as I start off on spooky books. This month, while selecting books, I sort of just pulled what seemed like interesting titles to me. Things I thought I might want to read. However, I know I won’t read all of these. I also know that I will want to read others.

Thus, this list is extremely tentative. In an attempt to get myself back into the love for reading. I’m opening my entire books shelf up to be picked from. I’m not going to limit myself because otherwise I’ll just sit and want to read something that I can’t because it wasn’t on my list to read.

Most of the time I pick the books I really want to read, and I did pick the ones that interested me, but who knows how much I’ll stick to this list.

Single Novel List

  • The River Between Us by Richard Peck
  • The Girl in the Locked Room by Mary Downing Hahn
  • The Forgotten Girl by India Hill Brown
  • City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab
  • Hidden by Helen Frost
  • The Awakening of Sunshine Girl
  • Beloved by Toni Morrison
  • The Lace Makers of Glenmara by Heather Barbieri
  • Grandmaster by David Klass
  • Wicked As You Wish by Rin Chupeco
  • Eight Will Fall by Sarah Harian
  • The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
  • Anthem by Deborah Wiles
  • Stain bt A.G. Howard

Wicked As You Wish is the only one of these I want to get done (probably at the end of the month) for the formal release. My copy is an ARC so I should have it done and review out for the week of or the week before.

If you have noticed a lot of these are ghost stories or more horror like stories. I’m just in the mood for that. I think the only official true fantasy on this list is Stain. I love A.G. Howard and Stain is a standalone novel. I’m hyped to read it. I have still not read Rose Blood (the Phantom retelling by her) and I need to.

In terms of everything else. It’s all tentative. I might decide half way through the month that I don’t want to read any of it. I might decide I want to read other things instead. That’s okay, and probably going to happen. This month is for reading the way I want, the books I want. So don’t get attached to any of these lists.

Book Club Books and Catch Up

  • Love Boat, Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen (book club)
  • Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano (book club)
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  • Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin
  • Completing His Dark Materials Reread

The two book club books have to be read. Love Boat, Taipei by Feb 5th (I think) and Dear Edward by Feb 4th. As such they will get done and will get done quick. As for the others, everything else is up in the air for when it will get done and when it needs to be done by.

There we go. All five posts for today are here before you. I’l still trying to catch up on all my plans. I will have the book rating system out this week. I will have my instagram up and running, I promise. I have a lot of things to update on the site that I wanted to do last month and just didn’t. This month is as good a month as any for real change.

Remember, this list is far from final.

Until Next Time,

MM
