Sorry that I’ve missed a few weeks friends. I couldn’t actually do the others, because I was unable to really come up with answers and instead of giving you more memes, I was like… I just wont. But I am this week!
For this I’m doing book quotes again but this time I am doing:
AKA my favorite quotes in the world. hahaha.
How many do you know? How many do you know that I love? Were you able to call them out before I wrote them down? Yes? No? Let’s go!
Also, to make this more difficult for me. I CANT use the quotes I used on the sky quotes. This means that two of my favorite quotes of all time can not be used: ‘We are stardust and stories’ from The Starless Sea, and ‘These were the stories between the stars.’ from ORV.
Alright. No one is going to be surprised by this, if you’ve been following me for long enough. I am in Scotland. I only have so many books with me. These are the books that I am going to read, this summer, and like… nothing new. Which is sad, because I have a massive TBR back home in the states, but these are the books I have with me.
To be honest, we’re supposed to add the amazon link to our wish list so that people can buy us these books. I really don’t care too much for that. I already have so many books at home that I need to read, that asking for them is kinda strange at this point.
Maybe one day if this topic ever comes up, and I’ve gone through all my books I will give you the link to buy books. For now, however. LOL no.
It’s been FOREVER since I read books that I was like, goodness I’d really love an epilogue for this book. Most o the books I want more content for but not really an epilogue. Epilogues are a wrap up, in essence. GL to me I guess.
This becomes even more difficult when I have to pick books from completed series. Or standalones. I just feel like this is rough because I feel that often Authors pick their endings for very specific reasons and to add an epilogue feels to go against that decision. Also, I’d rather that some series were simply COMPLETED (I’m looking at you ASOIAF) over getting an epilogue lol.
June 7: Books With a Unit of Time In the Title (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, eternity, etc.) (Submitted by RS @ The Idealistic Daydream)
I won’t lie. This one is actually a bit difficult for me, because I really don’t know any books that are with this. I guess, I’m going to have to open up my full book list, but even then, I’m not anticipating this working out well lol.
Two weeks. OMG. Can I actually keep this up? T–T I have no idea, but I’m going to try. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. See you tomorrow with all of the update posts! There will be a surprise too!
May 31: Comfort Reads (Share which books or kinds of books you turn to when you need to escape. You can either share specific titles if you love to re-read, or you could share qualities of books you look for in a comfort read.)
I actually have a bit of difficulty with this prompt because I don’t really have many comfort READS. I do have qualities, so I had to really think about what qualities those were. TBH, I’m not even sure that this is the actual best list but we are going to try anyway.
Oh my gosh guys! I’m back at it with the Top Ten Tuesday posts. I will be working on getting book reviews back up and running soon. I already have them ready, sorta. LOL (Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.)
May 24: Book Quote Freebie
For this prompt we were told that it could be any theme, or anything of the sort, that we like. I feel, to be easy on myself, I’m going to do…
MOON, STARS, DARKNESS, and STARDUST
It’s very easy actually.
Note that these are quotes from books that I’ve actually read, and in my preference of the quotes, so don’t get sassy. Thanks.
As in book marks I use or the ones I think are the prettiest of what I have. Because I have pretty book marks that I don’t use.
I’m going to go with my favorite book marks that I use.
This list is going to be my favorite book marks to use. Rated by how often I reach for them. As a note. I only really reach for bookmarks on rare occasions, because most of the time I finish a book I one go.
Actually, any of the Book Depository book marks I reach for a lot. I have a copious amount of them.
I’m actually left this bookmark somewhere and I do not know where. As such I can not find it, but I’m going to describe it.
It’s a black book mark with a weight on the end of the tassels. It has a quote on it that I can not think of right now.
A sticky note folded in half when I need a book mark but don’t have my black bookmark (or any of them) near me. Mostly done when I’m reading at work.
Leaving the book open on a surface, facedown. So that the pages are spread apart on the counter surface as I quickly do what ever needs my attention.
November 5: Books That Give Off Autumn Vibes (Autumn scenes/colors on the cover, autumn atmosphere, etc.)
I kind of skipped the last few weeks for a few reasons. First off Extraordinary Book Titles (15th): I just didn’t have enough titles that I thought were amazing. Book Titles I would Change (22), I don’t ever think about changing titles. Freebie week I was left without a thought of how I would progress forward, so I just did not. So here we are with autumn vibes, and I suppose Autumn vibes are the only vibes we are going to get and that’s okay. We can go with that.
Welcome back. I didn’t say this last week but… It’s October! Its my favorite month of the year. We are into our second year of the site! Can you believe that? This is amazing, or insane, sort of depends on your perspective of it all, I suppose. But you aren’t here to hear me ramble. Here is today’s Top Ten Tuesday! (Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.)
