Two weeks. OMG. Can I actually keep this up? T–T I have no idea, but I’m going to try. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. See you tomorrow with all of the update posts! There will be a surprise too!
<<Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.>>
May 31: Comfort Reads (Share which books or kinds of books you turn to when you need to escape. You can either share specific titles if you love to re-read, or you could share qualities of books you look for in a comfort read.)
I actually have a bit of difficulty with this prompt because I don’t really have many comfort READS. I do have qualities, so I had to really think about what qualities those were. TBH, I’m not even sure that this is the actual best list but we are going to try anyway.
Here we go!
10.
All For the Game Scenes
Like I really don’t care for the whole series, but there are some scenes that I find myself just rereading.

9.
Books That Made Me Laugh Outloud
To be honest this doesn’t happen all that often.
So I gravitate to those scenes again. Not that I can think of any off the top of my head.
8.
Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern scenes
I think that this book will move up on the list as I reread it more often but for now…

7.
Isekai/Transmigration/Reincarnation
Really anything where a person gets transported to another world or back into the past and then has to become OP?
manga/manhwa/manhua/webcomics/webnovels
Sign me up.
6.
Books with Dragons
I don’t have a specific book in specific, but when I’m in need for a reprieve,
I always search for dragon books that I have not already read.
5.
Bokura no Kiseki
It’s my favorite manga, and I reread it a LOT.

4.
Holly Black novels
This is actually really specific to the Folk of Air and The Darkest Part of the Forest.
I reread both of them often enough for specific scenes that I just enjoy.
3.
BIG Hype Scenes
Think scenes like the two swords scene in the Rage of Dragons
or the scene where Kaladin lands in the storm and reveals himself in Words of Radiance
Pretty much any scene that makes me go YASS LETS GOOOO, I love to reread
2.
Redwall by Brian Jacques

1.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll

As you can see this is a general mix of things. Books and elements that I look for. Also, as you can see… in most of the cases, my comfort reads is rereading SPECIFIC scenes. I can not tell you how many times I’ve reread the Kaladin landing scene (more than thrice) this year (2022) alone. The feeling of the scene never goes away for me, and in some cases it drives me to want to reread the whole book.
The only books/series that I will reread in fell are the ones that I lowkey mentioned above.
That’s all I have for this week. See you next week!
Until Next Time,
MM
