Sorry that I’ve missed a few weeks friends. I couldn’t actually do the others, because I was unable to really come up with answers and instead of giving you more memes, I was like… I just wont. But I am this week!

July 19: Freebie
For this I’m doing book quotes again but this time I am doing:
STORIES
AKA my favorite quotes in the world. hahaha.
How many do you know? How many do you know that I love? Were you able to call them out before I wrote them down? Yes? No? Let’s go!
Also, to make this more difficult for me. I CANT use the quotes I used on the sky quotes. This means that two of my favorite quotes of all time can not be used: ‘We are stardust and stories’ from The Starless Sea, and ‘These were the stories between the stars.’ from ORV.
10.
“Who said the end was written yet?”
Wicked by Gregory Maguire
9.
“You’re the one who says books have to be heavy because the whole world’s inside them.”
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
8.
“Reading is a dangerous pastime. There is great power in stories.”
Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
7.
“Strange, isn’t it? To love a book. When the words on the pages become so precious that they feel like part of your own history because they are.”
Starless Sea by Erin Morgerstern
6.
“If this story can really save you… There are three ways to survive in a ruined world. I’ve forgotten a few by now. However, one thing’s for certain. And that is, the you reading these words will get to survive. This story is for just that one reader.”
Omniscient Reader Viewpoint by Sing-Shong
While this is one of my favorite quotes for my whole life because of what it means for the whole story, and the themes and the likes (GOSH ITS SUCH A GOOD QUOTE), its not my favorite quote about stories.
5.
“Ink and parchment flowed through her veins.”
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
4.
“Some books should be tasted, some devoured, but only a few should be chewed and digested thoroughly.”
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
3.
“And no story truly ends as long as it is told.”
Starless Sea by Erin Morgerstern
2.
“The letters within the screen seemed to ripple. Letters wishing to be loved by someone were flowing outside the monitor after forming pairs and groups with each other. Sentences, that sparkled like the stars. Some sentences willingly became the darkness for other sentences, while a certain sentence became light only through those dark words. Some sentences existed for the next sentence, while the next sentence gained its meaning because the first sentence existed.”

“For these were not ordinary books the libraries kept. They were knowledge, given life. Wisdom, given voices. They sang when starlight streamed through the library’s windows. They felt pain and suffered heartbreak. Sometimes they were sinister, grotesque — but so was the world outside. And that made the world no less worth fighting for, because where there was darkness, there was also so much light.”
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
Lol yeah there are repeats, but look. These are my favorites, rn at least. There are a whole world of book quotes, but these are the ones that make my heart go, yeah… I love that.
Also was this just a big list specifically made for that Sorcery of Thorns quote? Yes. I’m not even going to hide it.
I’m a simple person who likes simple quotes. Talk about books in a pretty way and you got me. Hook. Line. Sinker. HAHA. Either way, this was fun for what it was. How many did you get right?
Until Next Time,
MM
