Inner Strength: Unicorn Crate

Alright, last post for today. This is the final box for “June” that I will have gotten. I have a lot of feelings about UC ending, but I will discuss that at the end. For now, happy vibes as we go to what this box was and has. So! Let’s break on in, why don’t we.

June 2020 Unicorn Crate: Inner Strength

Something goes here usually that is a deeper brain dive, but because that’s all at the end… we just dive in.

What the Box contains:

  • Enamel Pin inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien designed by Catarina Book Designs, catarinabookdesigns.wordpress.com
  • Throw Pillow Cover with a quote from Anne of Green Gables illustrated by @StellaBookishArt
  • Wax Seal Set by Unicorn Crate
  • Notebook by Unicorn Crate
  • Bookmark with a Laini Taylor Quote designed by Unicorn Crate
  • Art Print by Blackspring
  • Llewellyn’s Little Book of Unicorns by Angela A. Wix
  • Sisters of Sword and Song by Rebecca Ross with note and signed book plate.

Quotes:
Pin: Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
Bookmark: “I turned my nightmares into fireflies and caught them in a jar.” – Laini Taylor, Strange the Dreamer
Throw Pillow Cover: “Life is worth living as long as there’s a laugh in it.”

Things I’ll use: Pin goes to pin flag. Throw pillow goes with my other cases, for that day when I actually get throw pillows for that theoretical library of my dreams. Another wax seal! Just what I needed lol. That goes with my others. Notebook with my other notebooks and bookmark with the other book marks. Goodness, I have so much of both lol. The art print will go in my book. The Little Book of Unicorns is gonna go on my magical book shelf, actually.

Book: Then we have the book. Reading the synopsis and seeing how its about a bond between sisters? I’m so hype for this. Lol I have to still read all the other books I’ve gotten in my Unicorn Crates. I will. I promise I will get to them. The goal is to have them fill up next month’s reading challenge. This book is a lovely shade of green too. So I really like how pretty it is.

As I know, right now, this is the last box for Unicorn Crate. It has been a lot of fun with this book box. It has never been a box that has had a lot of stuff, but it has always had really nice things. And the BOOKS. While I haven’t read the last two yet, the other books I have gotten from this box have been consistently good. The Bone Charmer was so good and I’m constantly drawn back to the plot of that novel. I doubt I would have picked it up without this box, so in general I have only had good experiences. I have found so many cute and pretty things.

Additionally, I have been able to share those things with my cousin. She loves reading, and these books are a bit (a lot) too far out of her reading age range. However, the things in the boxes — especially the unicorns, which are her favorite in the whole world — I’ve been able to share with her. The scarf I got from a past UC box, is one of her favorite things. This book box means so much to me, even if I haven’t been around for so long.

I am truly sad that this box is ending, however the creator is going on to greater things for themselves. As such I can’t be too sad. I wish them the best of luck. To new beginnings!

I will see you all tomorrow with the wonderful lists of July 1st. Reading lists and TBRs! Until then!
