May Teas

Second tea post for today, and last tea post for the week (as well as last post for the day). Be prepared for June and July next week! Then in October we will get August and September. We will be all caught up! Isn’t that exciting? I think it is at least. Anyway, on to the teas for this month.

Month: May (2019)

Tea 1: Night Time by Pukka

This tea is made from oat flowering tops, licorice root, chamomile flower, lavender flower, limeflower, Valerian root, and green rama tulsi leaf. All are organic.

By the time that I drank this tea, I knew that it was going to be far too relaxing for me. Often times with “sleepy” teas, I drink them just to relax, but this one actually made me tired. I really liked this, and know that it’s on my list to rebuy in the future.

This tea is caffeine-free.

Tea 2: Peanut Butter Kiss Cookie by Fava Tea

This tea is made from rooibos, cocoa, planed almonds, caramel pieces, and flavoring. It contains dairy, nuts, and soy.

Oh man… By this point, I have decided that anything with cocoa as a tea is going to probably be not what I want. It would probably make an amazing hot chocolate if it worked that way, but it doesn’t. I know that somewhere, someone will like this, but it is not me. It smells heavily of peanut butter (which is yummy) and tastes like that, mixed with water and other stuff. I just… can’t.

This tea is caffeine-free.

Tea 3: Serenitea by Miss Tea

This tea is made from Valerian, spearmint, chamomile, cinnamon, peppermint, lavender, rose petals, licorice root, and raspberry leaves. All are organic.

This is one of my favorite teas hands down. I need to get more of this and because of this tea alone, I am seriously contemplating getting the other two at the same time. I love the richness of this tea and the combination of lightness and deep flavors. It was this tea that told me that I really do like Valerian, as it is the primary ingredient in this tea. If you think you have tastes similar to me, I recommend.

This tea is caffeine-free.

Rating: 5/5

Tea 4: Lemon & Ginger by Ahmad Tea

This tea has lemon peels, ginger, apple, lemongrass, quinces, and hibiscus.

This tea is very ginger and lemon, so fair warning. I really liked this for clearing my sinuses and for when I felt ill. It really helped me then and I wanted to save the last packet for another sick day, but I ended up drinking it for this. I’ll def, probably, end up buying more.

This tea is caffeine-free.

Rating: 4/5

Oh man, I had some great teas and one that made me just… tired. I really don’t like the cacao teas, nothing on the tea producers. They are just not my cup of tea (puns. I’m dead). Alright, see you next week with June and July.
