April Teas

There were a lot of fruity teas this month. Today I give you April and May teas!

Month: April (2019)

Tea 1: Red Clover by Traditional Medicinals

This is a tea made from organic red clover flower.

I love this taste, but it also could be that it’s the closest to what I already know that I like. My brother once told me that my teas taste like dirt, and I really do like that natural taste, rather than fruity. I suppose I’m odd in that regard.

This tea is caffeine-free.

Rating: 5/5

Tea 2: Organic Honey Vanilla Moringa Tea by Miracle Tree

This tea is made from Organic moringa Oleifera leaves, natural honey, and vanilla flowers.

This tea smells heavy of the vanilla and honey combination. It is a tea that is most certainly a pick me up tea, for me at least. I really liked this tea, for that reason. However, in general it was not my favorite tea to drink.

This tea is caffeine-free.

Rating: 3/5

Tea 3: Blood Orange by Harney & Sons

This tea is made from apple pieces, orange peel, rose hips, hibiscus, beet root, safflower petals, marigold petals, orange flavor, raspberry flavor, and grapefruit flavor.

This tea was a wave of orange upon opening the bag (actually you could smell it without opening it). I didn’t hate the orange flavor, but I would not say it was my favorite. It was a very powerful orange, however, and in some ways that almost makes it more of an autumn taste than a spring one.

This tea is caffeine-free.

Rating: 3/5

Tea 4: Green Passionfruit by Davidstea

This tea is made from pineapple, green tea, black currants, cornflower petals, calendula petals, safflowers, and natural passion fruit flavoring.

I wasn’t expecting to like this tea, to be honest. I was hit by the smell of it and expected myself to want to toss it aside, but I think that by the time that I began to drink it, fruit teas really were getting to me. I am starting to like these herbal blends better, and so I can’t really be surprised. I did like this a lot.

This tea has low levels of caffeine.

Rating: 4/5

With all the fruity teas, I was surprised by how much it broadened my taste in teas. I do think that I will still lean towards green tea, white tea, and mints, but I did enjoy this set. The average score was pretty high for this box, after all.
