Hey Voidfolk,
These are teas I got this year that are not specifically from my tea subscription box.
Let’s talk about how LONG it took me to get this to you. Let’s also talk that I went to the DMV this morning, was done in 20min, and was so caught off guard by how fast it was, that I just laid down to sleep and didn’t want to do this tea tasting today.
But I am, Voidfriends, I am for you.
Teas:

Ead inspired by The Priory of the Orange Tree by The Tea Leaf Company

This is a black tea made with blended orange peels and orange oil.
Alright, orange tea. I got a LOT of this one, so it’s going to be painful if I don’t like it.
It’s a nice subtle orange flavor. I def could drink it more often. Do I LOVE it? Nah, not really. However it isn’t bad. I like the subtleness and I do think it has caffeine, because I don’t react well to caffeine (I can get headaches) and this is making my head spin a bit. Soooo we will see how I feel later, if I drink this often or not.
Based on the fact that this is a black tea, I will assume that it has caffeine, although I do not know how much.

Mermaid Tea inspired by Lira from To Kill a Kingdom by Tea Leaf Company

This is a tea made from apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, rosehip, strawberry pieces, kiwi pieces, strawberry kiwi flavoring, strawberry flavoring, red fruit flavoring, and may contain nuts.
This tea smells like candy. I had previously made this tea for my family, and made it as an iced tea and lets just say I didn’t like it then, and it had sugar then lol. I was hopping that tasting it when it was hot would change my mind, since I don’t like iced tea much to begin with.
I can forgive a lot more for the tea when it is warmer. It is still too, candy-fruity for me. Which is not to say I hate it. I simply would not pick this up if it were my first choice of tea, because it tastes like it should be an iced tea even when hot. If that makes any sense. This tea is 100% not for me, but I think others may love it. However, I’m not going to rate it horribly, because I would be able to drink it warm (more than I did for the 8OZ that I drank for the tasting).
Once again, it does not say how much caffeine is in it, however it is an iced tea. Thus it wouldn’t be silly to think it has zero caffeine.

Tea With Mr. Tumnus inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia by Riddle’s Tea Shoppe

This is a tea made from rooibos tea, decaf ceylon, ginger, cinnamon, orange, cloves, cardamom, natural caramel flavor, natural vanilla flavor.
Based on ingredients alone… this tea is not for me. However, I’d rather not judge a tea before I taste it, so I’m going into it with an open mind. I like rooibos and vanilla, so maybe this one will surprise me! It smells very spicy and earthy, so here is to nothing!
It’s good! Wow. It’s such a winter taste. That’s exactly how I can describe it. This is a great winter/Christmas tea. It’s not like the peppermint teas, this one is more earthy and that cinnamon and vanilla pairing? AMAZING. Wow. I was expecting the ginger or orange to be over powering in flavor, and they just didn’t. There is a minimal aftertaste that is more fleeting of the original taste than a different one. I really liked this wow.
Now the issue is rating… hmmm. I’m going to go high, because why not? I’d drink it again and probably buy it again for the winter season. This opened my mind to a different flavor combination I thought I hated before. So yea. 5.
It says decaf. So we are going to say caffeine-free.

Silver Moon Tea by TWG Teas

I’m just going to exact quote here. “A TWG blend of green teas accented with a grand berry and vanilla bouquet.. Suave, with just a hint of spice. A tea for that special moment.” That’s all I got.
Okay, so listen. When I went into TWG Tea, I was a innocent child wowed by the beauty of a tea shop. I didn’t realize that TWG Tea was a luxury tea chain, though I suppose I should have based on the store. I got the tea that smelt yummy. It’s labeled as Haute Couture. According to steepster (because I started researching it later), the one I got is the best (https://steepster.com/teas/twg-tea-company). From what I can tell, only this company sells haute couture tea, because that phrase is typically reserved for clothing.
What this is to say is: I bought expensive tea. Let’s taste it.
Well it tastes exactly as it smells which is great. It is berry and vanilla for sure, along with the green tea. And to be honest I do like the smoothness of this berry flavor. I was surprised by how much I like it. Now, does it need the price? That will be determined on how much tea I can get, as well as how much I drink it, but I do like it.
It’s a green tea. Sooo, I’m going to say either low caffeine or caffeine-free.

Mint Matcha Green by Pukka

This tea is made from sencha green tea, spearmint leaf, peppermint leaf, and matcha.
Yes, I bought this tea because it was Pukka. I saw the brand when I was in London and I said. I NEED. And instead of buying the flavor I knew I liked, I tried a different one instead.
So I do like this mint. I like the consistency the most. Matcha drinks always are so smooth. Would I buy it again? Not sure. But I do know that for now I do like it. I might not like it more than the other Mint from Pukka tho. I’d have to compare.
I want to say this is a caffeine-free tea.

Look at all those teas! So many that I’ve been hoarding. I know!! I also know that I’m a fool who bought expensive tea. hahaha. This collection has a high rating in general, however. So yay!
My next tea box should be in next week? I’m not sure. I haven’t checked the shipping date yet. But when it comes, know that you’ll get that tea tasting too!
Until Next Time,
MM
