203 Days Until Understanding And the Uncertain End (part 3)
Evester loved the look of terror that came when ever he did the unexpected. The way that the horror spread across the room once the cuffs dropped to the floor, made him feel alive. He loved being in control like this. The ability to make others know that he can the power, always enticed him. He could escape at any moment, and there would be nothing they could do to stop him. In seconds all the weapons in the room were aimed at him, making his body fall into a state he craved at all times. True danger.
“If we had listened to the Project and properly tested all people as we were supposed to, we would not be in this situation.” Evester smiled to them all as if he were not wanting to try more, to push harder, to place his life on the line.
“We have.” Someone snapped back.

203 Days Until Understanding And the Uncertain End (part 2)
The room was glass with bright lights and filled with a round stadium of seating. There were beautifully lined and comfortable chairs along with tables and name tags that identified each council member. Images showed on the glass screens of multiple other councils all over the world. It was grand and awe inspiring, so much that Heia felt more intimidated than she had before.
“Ah. Full world council.” Evester chuckled as they walked into the room. He led her on towards the seats in the center of the room, where they would be interrogated.
Heia’s training kicked in the moment they were seated in the center. Her eyes darted towards all he exits to find their best ways out. Find all the exits. Look at all the guards. Figure out who could stop them and how. Map out what she knew of the building, which was little.

203 Days Until Understanding And the Uncertain End (part 1)
Evester sat against the wall looking at the white of the room as Heiphillia paced back and forth in the cell casting shadows over him with each time she moved. He liked watching as she moved, for it gave him some sort of entertainment as they waited. Her shadow grew and faded, cast light over him and then darkness. She was inconsistent in her pacing, keeping him on his toes as she moved around him.
“What is taking so long?’ Heiphillia complained again.
“Its procedure.” He wasn’t entirely sure, but it seemed like an answer he could give her.
“You demanded to see them.” She didn’t understand that immunity gave them their holding room. Without it they’d be in jail, actual jail, without a chance to talk to the Council at all.

204 Days Until Prisoners And the Uncertain End
Heia watched as Evester stood for a moment looking like himself for the first time in what felt like forever. Heia did not particularly like the idea of them going out on purpose. However it was necessary. Everyone else was hidden, leaving only Heia and Evester in the spot light. They’d disappeared to take care of Zeydar as well as to plan their way out of the Tower in two days. This left Heia and Evester to be alone in their reveal.
“Are you sure you want to do this with me?” Evester asked her as they walked towards the location Evester had decided he wanted to be captured at.

205 Days Until Transportation And the Uncertain End
Evester’s blood was pumping faster than it probably needed to be. The faster it moved, the faster be began to sweat. The faster he sweat, the faster they would be noticed for being out of place. Deep breaths in and out, over and over, calming himself until the moment Uly gave them the clear. He needed to calm his racing heart even as he wanted to bounce and run. The way this fear made him feel exhilarated him. They could be caught at any moment.
Dead breaths in and out, Evester kept himself from standing out. That was part of the task and make his mind swim faster.
Kim glanced over her stun gun before turning to him. “Ready?”
“Yes.” Evester opened the eyes he’d been clenching shut, to look at Kim and Heiphillia who stood pale and clearly anxious. He kept his voice steady. “Worried?”
“Yes.” Hepihillia glared at him. “Does it have to be today?”
“Yes.” Kim and Evester said at the same time. They had discussed the matter all too many times. To keep Zeydar best hidden, they had to move him in the middle of the day through the city. It wasn’t optimal for any of them but the general need to move him. The day was supposed to be like any other day, but for some reason there were more soldiers about than normal.
Evester’s soul sang. Everything was so vivid, clear, defined. He was certain that if he tried, he’d survive just about anything. When was the last time he’d so fully lived in the sensation? The state of The Immortal, was about him. This Evester could do anything.

206 Days Until Saviors And the Uncertain End
Heia stood watching as her siblings were packed away into the transports to be taken away. The orphans moved first, moving with all that they owned, into the transports to disappear. Layla and Andre helped the kids get settled, but they were not returning to Heia’s side. The orphan were as much of Heia’s family as anyone could be but Layla and Andre were her blood.
“The house is quiet.” Kim’s voice startled Heia as she came from behind.
“It is.” Heia controlled herself, as Layla packed the last of the orphans away with Andre. Layla turned back and gave a curt wave to Heia. When Andre turned back, Heia felt as if she were betraying him. Her older brother wanted nothing more than to protect her, but Heia needed Andre to protect Layla and their family.
“Are Layla and Andre staying with us?” Kim asked because Layla and Andre had not decided until that morning. They’d only told Heia and Heia was to tell all the others. As the current oldest, she was going to be in charge.
“They aren’t EverDanger recruits. They are going to stay with the orphans.” Layla had already made her position clear on the matter. She wanted their whole family to stick together, and had been furious that they were to separate. Kony wanted to stay near Zeydar to learn magic, and Kori was staying with Karla and Kony. Robee and Trace would never give up on joining EverDanger. Andre had convinced Layla to go with the orphans, to protect them. Heia had convinced Andre to go with Layla, because no one in their family should be alone. “Endwin is going with them.”

207 Days Until Escape And the Uncertain End
Evester walked into the safe room to see Zeydar lying on the ground mumbling to himself something. He wasn’t shaking, which was a good sign, however he was seeing things and feeling things that weren’t there. As if he were in Dreams, but not. Evester had hoped that somehow the limited doses would make the full detox easier to deal with. Now, he was not sure.
“I figured it out.” Zeydar sat up startling Lynx and Evester. The two waited for him to continue as Uly and Crass switched over their reports for watching Zeydar. Evester and Uly’s shift was to begin soon. “Its a manipulation of the connection.” Zeydar said as if all of them should know exactly what he was talking about.

208 Days Until Fire And the Uncertain End
The world was on fire with announcements, news reports, and searches for Zeydar as Evester and his team continued to move the detoxing Star from place to place. Heia was forced to continue to train as EverDanger continued the act that could get them caught at any moment. Business as usual, as if nothing was going to happen. Heia was certain that Evester was relishing in it, even if he said nothing.
Europa sat in her mother’s office, door open, as Heia moved from the training areas to her room. Europa was pretty, like their mother, and as she sat in her mother’s office reviewing notes, Heia realized just how similar they were. The heir to their family was like Estashia in every way, concentrating with sharp eyes and a complete lack of expression.

210 Days Until Emergency And the Uncertain End (part 3)
Evester sat in the living room listening as the house was scanned once more. The moment that the last Star left, Estashia had those loyal to her, breaking their charms of magic and finding all bugs that they had placed in the house. In some ways, erasing the Star’s control took longer than it had for them to place it there to begin with.
Heiphillia was thoroughly spooked, Evester could tell from the way that she sat arms crossed and a ferocity to her. As Kim handed her a glass of water, she dropped it, shattering it to pieces because she could not keep her hands from shaking. Quickly she crossed her arm’s again and her expression grew more dim. Evester could not tell if Heiphillia were more angry with the situation or herself. Europa sat next to her.

210 Days Until Emergency And the Uncertain End (part 2)
Heia sat shaking in fear, body tense and eyes watering from blinking sleep from them too often. Everyone she cared about had been separated from her in the early hours of dawn. Her siblings were disappeared, the orphans taken, and she sat alone with Shawn in the waiting room as the house pretended to wake up upon the arrival of the Stars. They’d been awake for hours at this point, not that the Stars were to know that. The others were being rounded into the room, dressed in their night gowns all besides Evester who was thoroughly disguised. Once they had been gathered the searching began.
