164 Days Until Focus And the Uncertain End (part 4)
Zeydar hissed as the car approached them. The Aralax were coming in from too many sides, and hot on the backs of Kim and Phil. He’d have to make them all disappear while in movement. The cars would have to be up to the same speeds as Kim and Phil, at the same time, so they could move as a unit and the car was coming to fast for them to be standing around. They had to go. They could not stay standing any longer. The faster that Zeydar was able to erase their trail the easier it would be.
Without seeming to need his words, everyone got into the vehicles. Shawn and Heia at the wheels of the two cars that they had. It was cramped in the back seat, but Zeydar could see everything he needed to.
“Can’t we just destroy them with magic?” Heia asked from the front wheel. The engine was on and she was ready to go. Evester was messing with the head sets realizing belatedly that he wasn’t sure the others had them.
“Sure.” Zeydar snapped back. Less than a minute now before they had to start driving. “Let me just do that.”
“Don’t be hostile.” Evester snapped back. “Explain why.”

164 Days Until Focus And the Uncertain End (part 3)
Heia sat outside the house, wrapped in blankets. The night was chilled, but she was on watch. There was little that she could do about the cold, other than wait. The others were inside, preparing for bed, save Shawn who was her watch partner. Where ever he had gone… Glancing around she could not immediately find him, so she focused back ahead. She sat atop a car watching out into the distance for any sign of Phil and Kim. She heard Kori and Kony moving things into the cars, fortifying them and making sure they were ready to be moved at any moment. Evester had said they needed to have as much of their supplies in the cars at night, in the event they had to flee.
It was irritating to move it back and forth, but neither Kori nor Kony complained.
“You okay?” Shawn asked, startling her a bit, but then she saw the hot drinks in his hands and graciously took one, exposing her hands to the biting cold. Cut under her blankets, she let it warm her from inside.
“Their shift should have been over thirty minutes ago. If we stay out here any longer, we face hypothermia.” Heia did not need to look for the time to know. Besides, he’d checked ten minutes ago. Kim had went on two shifts instead of one today, to let the trio stay together. It should have been her out there, Heia not Kim. Yet Kim had convinced Heia to let her take it. Kim with her long eye lashes and soft words and touches, had told Heia that Heia, Zeydar, and Evester needed to stay together. At the time Heia had only hoped it wouldn’t be too taxing for her. She, Zeydar, and Evester were on night shift, and Heia had wanted to get the extra sleep. No one was going to let Zeydar and Evester stay up together alone. Not when they had whatever it was they had going on, nor when the three of them were supposed to be getting to know each other for the Project.
Now, Heia was beyond herself in frustration and fear that the act would have hurt Kim.
“They are fine.” Shawn hopped up to sit on the hood of the car with her. He sipped his drink, layered up in jackets and blankets.

Hello Voidfriends! I hope you are having a lovely Tuesday. Like I predicted, my tea box came in! Four new teas coming your way. As always, if anyone is interested, this is the sipsby box. I highly recommend them. My friend got me the subscription (first three months) almost two years ago now.

Alright! Last review for the week! I know that it’s amazing that we are getting three reviews a week! But is that so much of a bad thing? I hope not, at least. Since I am reading this book as a read along, you will probably get the next two books together and then the last two. In between, I will be giving you another series, probably. It might be surprising to you, but I read a LOT of series this month lol. And I mean, actually finished them. I am so happy about it! Anyway. This is the last review for July! See you in August!

Alright! Second Review! First Review for a new series for you. BUT WAIT, you might be saying Voidfriends. That’s right, this wasn’t only TBR this month. TBH I was going to read this in October for Zombies and Vampires. However, one of the people from my Book Clubs asked me if I wanted to join for the VA read along, and I said SURE. Here we are. Besides I’m reading The Enemy this month, and that’s a Zombie/Monster book. So I guess October came early this year.
Either way! Here we go!

Alright, I’m just gonna do my best and assume that book clubs are NOT happening for this specific one. We missed One of us is Lying, and then we missed this one. Whatever I guess. Anyway! Here you go! First review for the week!

164 Days Until Focus And the Uncertain End (part 2)
Evester sat in the bedroom, the only habitable living space, looking over his holoblade reciting information. Dates, circled in his mind even when he didn’t hold onto the documents. They were there, ingrained in his memory from weeks of memorization, along with the question on if things changed. He’d had the documents almost a year ago. Things were different then than they were now, and the Project always used to have to rerun projections. He wondered what would happen if they ran the projections again now.
Would things changed?
The dates tumbled out of his mouth as he did maintenance, along with what was supposed to happen with each one of them.
“You really have them memorized.” Zeydar walked in. Evester looked up to Zeydar who looked worse for wear, but coherent in full.
“You look good.” Evester tried to pry his eyes away from Zeydar who stood similar to how he had in Valaria. The confident Zeydar that others feared. This Zeydar made Evester’s… He focused on his holoblade and its maintenance.
“I wish.” Zeydar sat across from him, forcing Evester to pat attention to him. “I’m just good at acting.”
“What’s up?” Evester placed his weapon down as he looked to Zeydar. The two of them said nothing for a moment and just starred. “No?” There was nothing? Zeydar had just come to him to bother him? Evester’s eyes dropped from Zeydar’s to Zeydar’s lips, thinking of how much he wanted to —

164 Days Until Focus And the Uncertain End (part 1)
The day of the split up had Heia in tears. They knew it was coming from the day that it was officially agreed. They knew who were going, based on decisions that day. They knew they had to do it, in order to stick to the project time line. Still, the separation created tears. Her family was being further spilt apart. Heia, Kim, Shawn, Kony, Kori, Phil, Zeydar, and Evester were staying. Uly was leading the team of Rayda, Karla, Crass, Lynx, Onyx, Robee, and Trace away to the location of the Ships. Uly had not taken his time trying to decide who was to stay and who was to go, because inherently everyone had known. Ultimately, Heia agreed, but it did not make the parting easy.
“We will be fine.” Karla pushed Heia away. “Crass will make sure I’m fine.”
“We’ll protect her.” Robee rolled his eyes. “Not that she needs our help. Her kill count is higher than yours Heia.”
“Yeah,” Kori looked to Heia. “Are you sure you should be staying?” It was a joke meant to lighten the mood and Heia knew that. Unfortunately, she could not joke back.

165 Days Until Desperation And the Uncertain End
Zeydar stood outside of the safe house watching Kony, who starred off into the distance. The light was growing low on the horizon. Another sunset that brought a fear of destruction. Too close to the enemy to feel safe.
Most nights, Zeydar placed the traps, the spells that would protect them and activate if an enemy got too close. Tonight Kony was supposed to lay his magic down along with Zeydar’s. Kony had gone through many text books on the drives. He’d learned many spells and much theory. With his practical training with Zeydar, Kony was on par with many Mages in terms of spells. Zeydar was no disappointed in Kony. Kony hav put in effort more so than some of the Mages Zeydar knew. Kony had pressed to learn, perfect, and master the spells. What Kony lacked was time. He did not have the time to understand the spells even if he could cast them. He was not as apt at adapting them and working them to work for him better. He did know understand the full history behind them, and nor did he have the practice that made him quick and precise the first time he said them.
Still, Zeydar knew that was asking for something they did not have. Could not have. And could not think about at this time. Zeydar felt Kony lay out the spell for defense. It was correct but not complete to the best conditions of the night. Zeydar would have to adjust and strengthen them later. Kony went again for the next one and the next one after that.

Alright another book box for you! Aren’t you so excited for this one, like I am? Do I have any clue as to what this book is? Nope! Am I excited for the book all the same? YUP. Book boxes bring me such joy, even if I am getting a bunch of things I really have no business holding on to in some cases. I am having an amazing day in general, so I hope you all are too!
July 2020 Owl Crate: Date with Destiny.
I actually write these posts days before they come out, in most cases. Which means that my general mood for today, is the day in which I am writing this. Either way, I’m happy to spread the happiness and good vibes. Good vibes, friends!
