226 Days Until Justice And The Uncertain End (part 3)
Zeydar stretched, eyes foggy, and mind as clear as it could be after the amount of tests he had been through. His thought process was shot, in truth. Words were starting to fold together and concepts blending to mush. His body was crying for rest, and all Zeydar knew was that he could not let it. How many hours had it been?
“Completed?” Superior Owen asked, not giving Zeydar much room to breathe.
“Yes.” Zeydar pushed the booklet aside. Magic identification, had not been all too difficult of an exam, but it made his eyes hurt from looking at all the video clips, images, plants, and otherwise, over and over again trying to identify even the slightest different between the spells. Then he had to give the spell words and principal, which was not on the initial tests as he remembered. Not that it mattered. He could do it — no, he had to do it.

Sebastien De Castell, I have read many of his books in the recent months and if there is one thing I can say for sure it is that I love his books.
I could go on for days on how I like how he writes and directs his stories. I like how they spin and the directions they take, because I don’t expect it. Does that mean there is no set up for how they will go? On the contrary, there is lots of support for why they turn the way they do, I’m just used to stories that go the way I expect.
His books don’t do that.
I could speak on the characters who I have fallen for in all the books. How they make me laugh and cry, how I love them.
But that is not what strikes me the most from his works.

Second book review of today, and the novella for the series. I need this in paperback, thanks. Series review will be out next week as I still try to formulate my thoughts. Or tomorrow, which ever comes first as I race to the end of the month in terms of reading. I’m devouring books and have no time to breathe.

To say that I went into the bookstore on the day of and got myself a copy and then was sad when they said they didn’t have the white cover only their exclusive cover, and had to figure out when I’d get the original cover… only to try to find it else were, would be to say exactly what I did the day I got the book.
I have yet to get my FairyLoot shipping notice for the exclusive cover, but… we know its coming. Anyway! Onwards! Please note that by the time that I am posting this, the book has been out for less than a week.

226 Days Until Justice And The Uncertain End (part 2)
Heia looked over the figures of her family, working hard and training skills they had not used in the past. The triplets were moving the best with the weapons, having been working with them for far longer. Kony still was not sure about magic, not that any of them knew how to train him in magic. He looked to the broken staff in his hands like the relic it was, trying something. Anything. Failing every time.
“What’s on your mind?” Andre asked her as he took a break.
“Nothing really.” Heia answered. It was odd to think that just a bit ago they were at home, struggling to survive and now they had clothes, a safe place to sleep, were well fed, and could train in this way without any fears. It was unfortunate with how much the Circles and Stars took for granted, and only made her hate them worse for the fact that they partied and acted as if the world wasn’t falling apart outside.

226 Days Until Justice And The Uncertain End (part 1)
So this is how they wish to crush me? Zeydar understood as he looked over his testing schedule for Superior exams. All his exams were held within hours of each other, physical, practical, written, verbal, different subjects, and of all types, stacked on to each other. Where as in the past, the exams took place over the course of days with breaks between. This examination period was over the course of a little more than seventy-two hours.
How long would it take for them to grade the tests? All too long. They’d say they needed more time to get through them all. Since they did his schedule in three days, tradition would not follow. Traditionally, the last exam was taken as the others were being completed for grading. At most, they would need five days to grade, Zeydar knew this, but he also knew they’d try to sabotage him.

I don’t have much to say that won’t be said in this review. So, I suppose that means we simply get into it?
Customary warning: This is a reminder that these are my personal opinions. My thoughts and feelings are not your thoughts and feelings. I may not always be the target audience for a book; sometimes I am. If I do not like a book, that doesn’t mean you’ll dislike it. If I love a book or simply like a book, you may hate it. Take everything I say with this knowledge. If it sounds interesting to you despite what I’ve said, then go ahead and read it. You’ll only know you like something if you read it yourself.
That being said… Spoilers Ahead
With this, I give you the last double review week for a while. As it is right now, I am not writing book reviews for the books I have read thus far in November. There will be a Queen of Nothing review next week (probably) and then one after that, but we are going to be at a limited number of reviews until December, were it’ll pick right back up with dragon books. Anyway! Onward!

227 Days Until Wishes And the Uncertain End (part 3)
Zeydar sat with his head hanging low. Exams began within twenty-four hours and as prepared as he was for them, he was not ready. He was ready for the exams. He knew all the content, better than any other graduate before him. He knew all the content on a level higher than the test would test. It was the idea that he was finally going to be able to take the exams fairly that was starting to land.
How could they ruin this for him?
The ever present question continued to circle in his head as he sat in the library rereading the same sentence twenty times. How were the Superiors going to make him fail? What sort of tricks would they employ? How would they sabotage him? What if they didn’t and he just wasn’t good enough? What if he actually failed?
