Article 5 Series Review

Alright here we go, a dystopian series review! How lovely! The second one of this massive, completion event of October. I hope you are all having a beautifully lovely day. I am doing my best!

Customary warning: This is a reminder that these are my personal opinions. My thoughts and feelings are not your thoughts and feelings. I may not always be the target  audience for a book; sometimes I am. If I do not like a book, that doesn’t mean you’ll dislike it. If I love a book or simply like a book, you may hate it. Take everything I say with this knowledge. If it sounds interesting to you despite what I’ve said, then go ahead and read it. You’ll only know you like something if you read it yourself.

That being said… Spoilers Ahead

229 Days Until Celebration and the Uncertain End (Part 5)

The invitation for “Aether” was extended after a few minutes of talking back and forth. They had only planned to invite Aether, but EverDanger had been able to convince the hosts to invite Heia and her family through a bit of sweet talking and lies.

They moved in different groups. Some were headed to the after party in personal transport and others on the rails. Heia, her family, Evester, EverDanger, and the high classed Circles were in the house owner’s party bus heading back to the mansion that belonged to the Phyn family. The house was about the same of Evester’s massive mansion, with a yard that traveled over for what seemed like forever, leading them to a house in the center. They moved through the trees and the grass fields to the house. Cloud cities were monstrosities in the sky, but the fact that the high classed Circles had such large mansions bothered Heia. It was such a waste of space. So many families and homes could sit on the land. So many more people could live in the city.

229 Days Until Celebration and the Uncertain End (Part 4)

The club popped and rocked in music and color. The DJ was some big name and Endwin was their in to the after party. It was not the main concert and party at the club that was of any importance, it was the after party. The after party was where the team would be able to get the most of their information. They were supposed to figure out what type of person Zeydar was, what magic he had, where he lived, what people knew about him. It was odd conversation if it weren’t for the fact that EverDanger had their cover stories to the minute details. They’d be able to slip it into conversation: “oh hey, I knew a Star once a boy named Zeydar.” Then they’d be able to find out what the drunk and high people knew. Then they’d find out what they knew about him, and then get their in to Star Campus.

The Romeo and Juliet Murders {RW}

The Romeo and Juliet Murders {RW}

Murder-Suicide. That was the official rumor as to how the Darlings of the city had died. A lavish love affair turned sordid, only no one knew who killed the other. It was one thing for the daughter of a CEO to die suddenly. It was another to be found a few days later dead by bleeding out. They had found her twice-dead, with the young upstart in the world of business and son of their rival company. Traces of poison were on her lips as well in the system of her lover. It was his knife in her heart, but he died from poison. This time, she was dead for sure.

Yet, no one knew who died when. Or why her cousin was dead as well. Or why… well, a lot of people died when connected to the two families. They weren’t exactly on the same side. They held the city in the palm of their hand like the territory they lived on were castles, and all the land they could see was their kingdom. Lots of people had died with connections to the two families in recent months. Some even said that the two had planned to fake their deaths and were killed by a third, making it a double homicide. All Jules knew was that it could not be this easy.

Serpent & Dove Review

Serpent & Dove Review

Here we go! First new, new books in a while. Or at least relatively new. Today is probably going to be a lot of reviews. Not going to lie. Fair warning. I have a lot of books to cover and content to get through. Plus with next month and the month after for dragons. I’m going to have copious amounts of reviews. January is probably going to be a down month for reading numbers if we are being honest.

Who knows though. Who knows.
