Last post for the day, read almost two months after the first two books. Expect books 4 & 5 next week. The series review will not come out until book 6 comes out, which is like December. Soooo January? And then I’ll be trying to complete all the books that I already own, so there is that. Anyway! Review time!
This is the second book in this series and if the third book is anything like this one, I am looking forward to this series review. This series is going to be split into two weeks of reviews like Wicked. The first three books this week and the last two, plus the series review, next week. Here is the second book!
The first of the Spellslinger series. I bought this book with the intention of getting it for Newts and I figured it could be good. Boy, was I surprised by how much I liked it. I know you are getting this review at the end of September instead of August, but what can I do? I read so many books to review last month. As another note, I post this while out of town (aka automated) so if you comment, expect a late response.
Part three! Best number and my favorite of the magical creatures: Dragons. Remember to read part 1 and part 2, if you have not already. If you have, or you don’t want to, buckle down and let’s talk about dragons.
Well. Not really. The site’s anniversary was last year yesterday. A hundred plus followers and two hundred posts later, we have arrived at the 365 day point.
For those of you who have no clue. I started this blog as a way to vent about books that I read to myself other than my friends and family, over and over and over again. Telling my book loves to strangers online, somehow worked out better?
My first real post on here was a review of a convention that was this past weekend, I believe. And my most current was on book TBRs and tea. How far we have come.
What’s new?
Nothing, probably. I will probably be adding more content as we move on forward through the year.
I have decided to start the Youtube, so that will come next month. IDK what sort of videos yet, but I do have one I’ve been meaning to do for, forever.
Other updates: I am going to hopefully have my TBR post out in time. IDK weddings, you know? Going out on trips always screws with my time line. I should have it out tho.
I do have the dragon post coming out today, so don’t worry. It’s coming. I promise~
Thank you all for sticking with me! You are amazing, and make me so happy!
I think its comical that I’ve had all the teas in this box before I had all the teas in the June box. It’s mostly because I wanted to save many of the teas in the June box for a while longer. Without further ado, my July 2019 Sipsby box.
Happy Tuesday! Here is your first of the tea posts that I am going to give to you. Next week will be off for tea posts, for I will not be able to take the photos. For now… June!
I’ve been holding on to a lot of teas in this month, and so at the time of trying them here, this is my first time for many of them. I ran out of tea bags, which is why I haven’t tried them, despite knowing that I should. Either way, I am now.
You know what today is? Tuesday! You know what that means? Top Ten Tuesday! (Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.)
Topic: ‘September 24: Books On My Fall 2019 TBR’
I actually had next week’s post all line up to go and completed when I realized it was for the next week. I suppose I got over excited for next week’s theme. This week is a bit harder but I think I can do it. I know that Fall is typically for the spooky stuff, but IDK if I’m going to read many spooky things. I have a lot of other plans, really.
Now we end a double week of great book posts! I feel like I wanted to give this a higher rating, but considering how I rated the three books as opposed to Wicked, it makes sense that its only a four.
I’ve actually decided to buy a new copy of Wicked that is a clean copy and then to annotate the copy I have now, seriously annotate it at least, because it already has writing in it, and I really do love this book. The first book is, without a doubt, going to be on my list of my favorite books I read.
Customary warning: This is a reminder that these are my personal opinions. My thoughts and feelings are not your thoughts and feelings. I may not always be the target audience for a book; sometimes I am. If I do not like a book, that doesn’t mean you’ll dislike it. If I love a book or simply like a book, you may hate it. Take everything I say with this knowledge. If it sounds interesting to you despite what I’ve said, then go ahead and read it. You’ll only know you like something if you read it yourself.
