YP – B1: Finale – Chapter 6

275 Days Until Chaos and The Uncertain End (part 5)

The location that Evester’s saviors brought him to was hidden from the rest of LakeLost, a collection of homes, barricaded together and protected with metal slabs. The houses were gutted and inside there were children, so many children, playing. Orphans, Evester immediately realized. Orphans of all ages. Those who had lost their families either during the Great Catastrophe or on The Night of Destruction to the Aralax. Their presence alone told Evester that this was a safe place.

After almost dying from the drop, he wasn’t sure he wanted to trust them. The siblings had been ready, but the oldest had purposely not told him until it was almost too late. He knew it was an attempt to get rid of him.

275 Days Until Chaos and The Uncertain End (part 4)

The goal was to finish gathering supplies for the month, by shopping for what they had not gotten on their missions and raids. They needed to stock up on supplies for the coming months, and getting them from the city was the only way. In order to pay their rent they needed to trade what they got on their missions, as well as to keep all the children safe.Heia tried to remind her siblings of this as they walked that they did not have time or the funds for other things. This did not deter Kori or Kony.

“Look at this.” Kori held up a bag of skin colored patches, designed to stick to the skin and to conceal blemishes. They were made for those with a far different skin color than her, lighter, paler, too yellow, almost inhumane in color — Heia wasn’t even sure people could be the color without being ill.

275 Days Until Chaos and The Uncertain End (part 3)

Walking through the city Evester moved past the tunnels that led towards living the locations comprised of tents and makeshift metal homes. The Catastrophe had done a number on LakeLost with entire sections of the city lost, or sealed off. Some parts Evester had noticed were tampered with. Grave robbers? Who would care when most of those who lived there were dead anyway? He couldn’t care for the tampering. To find this Heiphilia girl in this city of Xs was going to be a task. Where would he even start in earnest?

“You will need a new coat for the winter, get it now. We have high demand,” A woman called out to him as he walked into what seemed to be another market district.

275 Days Until Chaos and The Uncertain End (part 2)

The bags were stacked tall, packed full of things Heia knew and items she had never seen before. It had been shortly after breakfast that her siblings had come back home. Seven smiling faces told her that there was only good news, but even then she wasn’t sure.

“What is this junk?” Heia picked up a heavy yet flat block of metal. They had brought many of them.

Another Harry Potter Challenge? Who do I think I am?

A major nerd that’s who.

This one is a year long, and actually not that difficult to do. Although, there are some specifics aspects to this that I absolutely dread. (Like I don’t know if I’ll complete this because of how much I dread specifics of these prompts). Anyway, onward to this list. Like the Fantasy and Sci-fi one, I’ll update this list as I fit books into that specific category or prompt.

I would say my goal is to get Hermione, but with the prompts I dread (Audio-book, hello my arch nemesis) I doubt I’ll be able to. We shall see. In other news watch as I add in a bunch of Harry Potter Books to this because I want to reread the series (And I have to reread the first anyway). Anything in italics is planned out already. Because why not add the ones in that I know I’m going to read? They will no longer be in italics once complete.

Link to the Event

Alright, here we go everyone into the Fantasy and Sci-Fi Book Challenge that we all know that I’ll be able to do. Because what else do I read? The answer is: not much else.

As such I decided to join this challenge for books to read. It’ll keep me preoccupied over the course of the year (I hope). It also motivates me to get a lot of the other books I needed to read (or reread), finished.

I will fill this in as I read more. For now it’ll remain mostly empty until I have a book that fits the category of placement. Be sure to check back periodically (probably monthly) to see all of the books that I add!
