YP – B1: Finale – Chapter 9

270 Days Until Havoc and The Uncertain End (part 3)

Heiphilia was far from an easy shell to crack. Evester knew how much she rejected and distrusted him. Every time he opened his mouth she would watch him, listen, examine, and find any reason to make that distrust grow. If she was going to save him, why distrust him so greatly?

It was probably because he had said he was looking for her without knowing it was her, which in retrospect had been a bit creepy.

Evester adjusted the grip of Kori’s hand as she held the holoblade. He hadn’t planned on teaching them to use the weapons, but since he was confined to the orphanage, he had gotten bored. The girl had insisted he show her and so he had. She wasn’t trained like the soldiers from home. Hell, he wasn’t trained like the soldiers from home. He had picked up all the skills he knew from practical experience. That was how he was teaching her.

“The Circles I saw held it like this.” Kori showed him. Her hands were balanced on the hilt of the blade, holding it lightly, unable to spin it in her hand if necessary.

Weekly Blog #7

I had no idea what to title this blog, so I went with the most generic title I could think of. I’m not even sure this is my 7th Weekly blog. Anyone want to check to find out what number it actually is? As in the blogs where I just talk and not about a specific subject. It’s probably like 3 or 4. Then with all the other weekly ones I make? This number should be much higher.

270 Days Until Havoc and The Uncertain End (part 2)

It wasn’t that the man particularly bothered Heia. He kept to himself. He kept an eye on the children when asked and watched over the triplets as they practiced with the holoblade. He helped with food, and told stories to those who could not sleep. He was not a bother, did not speak much, and staid out of her way.

What bothered her was that he wanted to take her away from there, from home. What bothered her was that he knew her name and not a single part of his story lined up. At first she and Andre had suspected him to be a spy for the Unwanted Guests. That proved to be a dead end as the Guests hunted him like he was a prized chicken.

270 Days Until Havoc and The Uncertain End (part 1)

Zeydar was discouraged from leaving his room too often after he had been taken during The Night of Oblivion. Security was tighter, the Supervisors were convinced he was in danger, and they told him to practice. To practice, to reign in the powers that had destroyed a CloudCity. To have him study and practice before his birthday tended to be their major concern in regards to most things. He thought there may not be more that he could learn. So he had learned to escape the campus under their nose, and studied different magics and theories. He had broken into the library and gone to parties. Zeydar wanted to know everything.

The moment that Zeydar became a Superior, there would be nothing they would be able to control him. He would be their equal with a voice in the council. The council as a whole could tell him what to do, but not on an individual basis as it were now. Perhaps that was why they told him to study more, despite the fact that Zeydar had been Superior level for years in terms of knowledge and skill. They wanted to be able to control him.

Magic Lessons: Unicorn Crate

I remember telling you all that I got the notification for this book box back for my birthday (May 3rd) — or rather that I should hopefully get it around then. Guess what! I did not! I did not get it until about two days ago, which is frustrating and expected all at the same time. I knew that the email was too good to be true, and that most boxes ship out at the end of the month. Still, I had hoped.

Either way it is in now!

May 2019 Unicorn Crate: Magic Lessons.
